PENANG, MALAYSIA: Democratic Action Party's (DAP) Jelutong candidate Jeff Ooi challenged Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon to name his successor for the Penang's Chief Minister post. He pointed out that Koh did not choose his successor but asked Gerakan vice-president Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan, Tanjung division chief Teng Chang Yeow and deputy secretary-general Datuk Lee Kah Choon to be “psychologically prepared” for the post and leave the final decision to the Prime Minister. Ooi said Monday (3 Mar) that the significance of the general elections is not to fight each other but to allow the people to use their right in choosing their government. And the current government makes the people suffer as goods prices surged. (Sin Chew Daily)
