PENANG, MALAYSIA: Heavy rain couldn't stop the eager crowd from waiting for the coming of DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang to give his speech Wednesday (27 Feb) at Paya Terubong temple. The heavy rain started from 8.30pm to 10pm. When Lim reached Paya Terubong at 11pm from Seberang Perai and Air Hitam, the rain had stopped. The open space at the temple is limited, however the heavy rain couldn't stop the people from coming. The number of audience was increasing as it was raining. Lim said it is his 10th elections contest after 42 years in politics. It might be his last contest. He hopes that the voters will take their responsibility as a citizen seriously on the polling day. They should reject BN's two-third majority to create a better tomorrow for themselves and their next generation. DAP National Vice Chairman Chow Kon Yeow, Paya Terubong state seat candidate Yeoh Soon Hin and other members had also gave their speech on that day. (Sin Chew Daily)
